Presentation: This workshop will focus on a "whole person" assessment for dual disorders to include challenges and opportunities for recovery. Using a multidisciplinary approach that includes assessment of the individual's adverse childhood experiences, brain trauma, traumatic life experiences, and assessment of the individual's recovery capital. Using a multidisciplinary approach and integrating care has been found to have successful outcomes for treating dual disorders.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- List three components of a "whole person" assessment;
- Describe three environmental issues that affect treatment for dual disorders; and
- Explain the resilience and recovery capital for dual disorders.

NH Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. ACEP No 6754. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NHADACA is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

Mary Woods, MSHS, LADC, LCS, V\BC-RN
Mary Woods, MSHS, LADC, LCS, V\BC-RN, is a Board Certified -Licensed Registered Nurse and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor who has 40 years of experience in substance abuse services and community mental health programs. Mary is a licensed Clinical Supervisor and holds a Masters Degree in Human Services Administration.
Mary is co-founder of WestBridge a non-profit organization that provides private community based and residential treatment for individuals and families who experience co-occurring disorders. She served as CEO from its inception until she retired in 2018. Mary is Past President of NAADAC, the Association of Addiction Professionals and is currently Chairperson of NAADAC’s Awards Committee. Mary is currently consulting with organizations to provide program development, education and supervision.
