A 3-Hour Training with Erin Masury, CRSW & Heather Smith LCMHC, MLADC, R-DMT

Presentation: This 3-hour workshop will provide an overview of the Alc 300 rules, adopted by the NH Board of Licensing for Alcohol & Other Drug Use Professionals in March 2023, the Alc 400 rules, adopted in October 2024, and the governing statutes related to the profession (RSA 330-C). The Alc 300 rules outline the requirements for initial certification and licensure, while the Alc 400 rules cover recertification and re-licensure, including supervision requirements for both supervisors and supervisees. This training will be beneficial for individuals seeking initial credentialing through the LADC board, those needing support with renewal requirements, and anyone currently providing or planning to provide supervision in the near future.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the purpose and process of the administrative rule making and rulemaking authority;
- Review RSA 330-C, newly adopted Alc 300 and Alc 400 rules; and
- Explain the initial and renewal requirements for a certified recovery support worker (CRSW), NH licensed alcohol & drug counselor (LADC) and NH master licensed alcohol & drug counselor (MLADC).

Erin Masury, CRSW is a Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) in New Hampshire. She has a BS from Hamilton College in Business Management. She has over 13 years of experience working in the Human Services field of which over 5 years has been in the field of substance use disorder. She is currently enrolled in school to further her education in addiction counseling with the hope to become a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC). Erin also successfully completed the New England Leadership Development Program, which focuses directly on the adoption and implementation of evidence-based treatment and practices.
Erin also has her personal recovery and life experiences to support the treatment of individuals seeking treatment and recovery in substance use disorders. Helping others to be successful is her life mission and she is passionate about representation and advocacy of SUD.

Heather Smith, LCMHC, MLADC, R-DMT is a dedicated professional with over 15 years of experience in the fields of mental health and substance use treatment across a variety of clinical settings. She has held key administrative and supervisory roles, providing expert clinical oversight and mentorship to licensure & certification candidates in NH. Heather is the founder of True Colors Counseling, PLLC, a telebehavioral health private practice established in 2020. In 2022, after becoming a mother, she expanded her services to offer perinatal support for both birthing parents and caregivers. She also currently serves as a clinical supervisor with the Credentialing Support Partnership at the NH Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors Association, offering external supervision and credentialing support. Known for her holistic and individualized approach, Heather’s guidance has empowered emerging addiction professionals to confidently navigate credentialing and uphold excellence in ethical client care.
In her therapy sessions, Heather utilizes a variety of techniques to best meet the unique needs of her clients. Her approach blends expressive arts, body/mind exercises, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, person-centered therapy, and reality therapy to foster healing and growth.
Outside of work, Heather prioritizes self-care by spending quality time with her family, enjoying outdoor activities like fishing and hiking, attending live music events, and expressing herself creatively through painting, crafting, and dance/movement—whether teaching or participating.
