A 6-Hour Training with Joseph Zannella, MA, LADC
8:30am-4:00pm
130 Pembroke Road, Suite 150, Concord, NH 03301
Presentation: This training is designed for therapists and professionals at any experience level looking for clarity on the breakthroughs and alleged new discoveries in treating Addiction Disorders. We are inundated with click-bait articles about new cures for substance use and behavioral addiction but how many of these are real or even promising. What data and research supports these claims. We will review the present state of medication for treating addictions, medication support therapies, explore and identify the underused medications that are available and the newest research and possible breakthroughs on the horizon. The newest research on Deep Brain Stimulation, Neuro-regulation, Low Intensity Ultrasound and Epigenetics will be explored and the supporting information discussed. The future is happening right now.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify present medications used and those that are available and underutilized;
- Discuss the different means of neuromodulation such as Ultrasound and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation;
- Summarize the methods and efficacy of Deep Brain Stimulation;
- Explain the ongoing use of Counseling Apps and their usefulness; and
- Describe how the field is changing and how to stay current with new recovery technologies.
